FYI, the motor driven catapult works.
in the last few minutes of the late shift on tuesday we got the motor driven catapult to shoot, it had a metric buttload of torque with 2 CIM's. 1 CIM might be possible but I wouldn't bet on it. W/ an encoder and speed controller we could get more accurate shots, but we couldn't do that on tuesday. Yanushka took a video where I briefly explained it, not sure what she has done with it thus far.

Ben also posted about this sam, what we need is the ratio of the sprockets you guys used when you had success...if you didnt take note of the ratio, at least try rummaging through the sprockets bin and identify what size sprockets you guys had on, and that might lead us in the right direction, if not be the answer we need.

need for a real frame
Ok try as we might the sprockets kept turning on the shafts. So we need to make a metal based frame also we need to weld onto the shaft the shouter, and a mounting bracket that sprockets can be attached to. We also had a successful shouter geared 18 to 1. The level of the shouter has to be higher. Erik and I also ha e a design idea for the shouter platform we will talk about right after school Friday. Great videos of those other robots.
