2013-2014 Sponsorship Packages

Hello! This is the designated space to post which companies you have given a sponsorship package to. There will be a list of former sponsors posted shortly.

Canadian Tire 1- no (demanded an essay and I said it was in the package but they are crazy on taunton)
so i tried Canadian Tire 2 (Garden) - they were sane but sadly they redirected me to the taunton C.T one
Lowes- unable to contact/ retry tomorrow
Home Depot- the said they were interested but he is busy and asked if he could sponsor at the beginning of next year, I told him I'd follow up with you tomorrow to ask
Audi / Owasco Volkswagen
Honda (Whitby Oshawa)- Turned off by the head cause of the GM logo on the cover dkm which sucks cause they actually seemed interested in sponsoring more than some others
Princess Auto-only accept national sponsors

I talked to the owner of Sam's driving school in whitby and he said he'd like to sponsor us  
I'll be giving the sponsor package to Dr. McTague (my dentist) and Dr. Sperber (my orthodontist)
I'm also gonna try to get that elusive timbit sponsorship XD but I'll update what happens on that front

I have given mine out to Audentium finacial corp, rossland optical, trillum college, brooklin village dental care, dr. sperber, ARI.

I have talked to WEBS inc, Whitecap Canada inc and Hand Me Downs. I am also going to try Curry's art supplies and 2nd time around tires.

and I approached Target, but they don't sponsor directly, instead they donate gift cards. We can get up to $250 from them, however we have to fill out an application. While I was inside, they do have basic hand tools from Stanley and Black & Decker, otherwise food. Let me know if this is an avenue the team wants to pursue.

I obviously Re-approached my dad's work and we got the laptop. Probably going to go to Master Mechanic and some other places as well.

I expect all corporate sponsorship packages to be handed out by this Tuesday. Kindly post a reply of where you have submitted your packages and an indication of their response (Are they interested in sponsoring us?).

I went to master mechanic, Morrison hershfield, Aecom, My cousins nephew's fro-yo joint (not even kidding) and my parents.

Can I still be on the team if I have my 200$ but no sponsors?

I'm going to approach my aunt's company, "Four Corners Group" and attempt for a sponsorship. Will attempt to find four more to approach by the next meeting.

Baszi, no. The $200/Macmillans fundraising and the corporate sponsorship are two separate sources of income for the team.

Bazsi, you can absolutely still be on the team.  The 200$ you owe is instead of selling 33 items.  Maya is right in saying that they are two different sources of income.  In regards to sponsorship, you don't need to get three sponsors you only need to approach them.

Well, just went to the Giant Tiger near the Central Library =P The cashier took it, said she would give it to her manager or something.

Just received a $500 cheque from M R automotive!

Hi I have given FM Global a package, awating response. 
I contacted the owner of MTC they have sponsered in the past however are not going to this year. 
I contacted Bayview Metals owner, they said they would be happy to supply us with materials.  Fasteners, metal etc. They just need a list of what we need to see what they have they can give us.  This information was passed on to Jane and John, and contact info.  My mom has direct contact with the owner, and can facilitate anything further if need be.  
We contacted a friend who is familiar with CaD to see if they can give us some time.  They would like to know how much time and when. 
Handed a package to Paradise Homes, a new home builder.

I have been to the following:

• Giant Tiger (Downtown Whitby, near the library)- Unknown Response
  
• Shoppers Drug Mart (Rossland and Garden)- Unknown, though the manager did seem interested
  
• Hooksey's Fish and Chips (Rossland and Garden)- Unknown
  
• Garden Square Variety- Unknown, probably a no go though
  
• Where I get my glasses (Vision something, its at Rossland and Garden too)- Unknown
  

One question- if we ever have chances after this to pursue a sponsor, can we? (For example, if I go to work at ___ later in January and they are interested to help us, can they still sponsor?)

I'm contacting the company "Four Corners Group" tonight because I have been unable to reach them thus far due to schedule. Expecting a response, may not know by tomorrow. Approached another friend's company, response unknown. Apologies, I have yet to reach out to three others because others seem to have approach the ones I've been meaning too.
